Before the start of the inter-org activity, each org was required to choose one member to represent their team all throughout the game. Without any idea what their representatives would be doing, One Voice org put their newly recruited member Liezel on the frontline. Being the Star Scholar for three consecutive weeks, One Voice org was certain that Liezel would be their ace player for this game.
On the other hand, Pupilars org picked Bugoy to represent their team. According to them, they were pretty much confident that Bugoy’s capabilities, most especially his unique voice quality, could bring them a win on this round.
Tonight’s inter-org activity could somehow be related to the upcoming Gala Night, where in they would be singing in duets. The name of the game is Second Voice Yourself. Earlier today, all of them were asked to record an a capella version of Yeng Constantino’s Pangarap. For this activity, the team representative would be tasked to come up with an impromptu second voice for his or her own recording.
Liezel went first with an approach or device that Teacher Monet referred to as parallel harmonization of melody. In this type of approach, Liezel sang the song parallel to the melody of her original recording, only three notes higher. Bugoy attacked the song using the same device, but instead of taking it notches higher, he decided to attack it three notes lower, an inverse of what Liezel did.
