Charlie Green sings with the Little Dreamers

August 04, 2008 12:05 AM

The Little Dreamers led the way for a trip down to memory lane as they wooed the jurors—composed of Jimmy Antiporda, Richard Poon, and Aiza Seguerra--yesterday with their “oldies but goodies” performances. Somehow inspired by their parents’ music era, they were asked to present songs that were popularized before the time of the very influential rock and roll proliferated. And apparently, bringing life to songs that were known way back before they were even born was a challenge they had proven they could easily surpass.

With her rendition of This is My Life, last week’s Outstanding Little Dreamer Cristina wowed the audience with her consistency in terms of performing on stage. Jimmy Antiporda just couldn’t help but notice the great improvement on her singing. Unfortunately her performance wasn’t enough for her to defend her title.

This week’s Outstanding Little Dreamer title was grabbed by Philip. With his hyped up performance of Diana, Aiza Seguerra admitted that she enjoyed his performance as much as the audience did. And due to this fun-filled presentation, the jurors came up with a unanimous decision of giving the lad from Gen. San a perfect 10 score.

Aside from the Little Dreamers’ wonderful individual performances, a very special guest decided to crash in the performance hall to make the night more special. The celebrated 10-year old half Filipino Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Charlie Green gladly took the stage to join the Little Dreamers in sharing a famous classical piece entitled Fly Me to the Moon.

Unfortunately, the fun was somehow exchanged by an uneasy feel of tension as last week’s Probationary Little Dreamers, Nikki and Jerome, waited for the public’s final verdict. The sad fact remained—one of them had to leave. Unfortunately for Jerome, he had to be the one to do so after the total text votes revealed that he was only able to gather 49.97 percent.

Jerome wasn’t able to stop himself from crying upon hearing of the decision. Now, there are only nine Little Dreamers left, and by next week another one has to go again. Who among the remaining nine will receive a Needs Improvement mark based on last night’s performances? Who will be the next to go? Find out by staying tuned on PinoyDreamAcademy Season 2 Little Dreamers’ 5th Gala Night, next Sunday right after Going Bulilit!
