Scholars learn about public imaging

August 08, 2008 1:58 AM

In line with the Scholars’ dream of pursuing a career in showbiz, the Academy gave them a quick lesson regarding public imaging with the renowned Isah Red. He gave them bits of advice regarding building an image. According to him, it was also vital that they will keep on evolving, so that their fans wouldn’t grow tired of them.

And since relationship with the press is an essential part of building a public image, this week’s Probationary Scholars, Apple, Laarni and Miguel, were asked to undergo the special practical exam that the walk-in instructor prepared. Inside the dance hall, infamous showbiz critics and talk show hosts, Cristy Fermin and Ogie Diaz, were waiting for the said Scholars to finally find answers on certain intrigues that the public bestowed upon them.

The notorious duo started the interview with Laarni. They asked the Independent Woman’s reaction regarding the public’s opinion of her as a snobbish and aggressive performer. She explained that it wasn’t her intention to be snobbish; it just so happened that the challenge brought about by being lined up against the best performers inside the Academy pushed her to be more competitive than before.

The Romantic Crooner, on the other hand, was faced with some question regarding his relationship with ex-Scholar Bea. Given the situation that they are separated by his dream, he was asked how he’s coping up with the parting. Miguel admitted that it is really a tough phase for him, but his dream is far more important to him than anything else in the world.

In relation to the Bea and Miguel relationship, Apple was once again intrigued by the public’s perception of her as the love team’s third wheel. Again, she denied the accusation, though Ogie insisted that her reaction was more of a defense mechanism rather than an actual denial.

To end the said interview, Ogie asked all of them who they hated the most inside the Academy. Surprisingly, all of them pointed their fingers at Iñaki, including Miguel, the best bud of the accused. Somehow, it had an effect on the Stage Performer since he grew unusually quiet after the said class. How could this revelation affect Miguel and Iñaki’s friendship?
