Bea and Miguel are on probation

July 13, 2008 1:55 AM

It sure was a sad day for Bea and Miguel for their tandem didn’t impress the jurors the way they expected. With an average score of 5.06, they were ranked lowest tonight. And to make their feelings worse, they had to share an awkward situation—being at the verge of expulsion together.

Cris and Sen’s pair almost ended the night sharing the same sentiments. The two Scholars were part of the Bottom Four after getting the second lowest grade tonight--5.36. Luckily for the two, their chance to stay inside the Academy was immediately granted by their co-Scholars and Dream Mentors. Cris was saved by the Dream-credible team, while Hansen on the other hand, got the majority of his co-Scholars’ votes, that moved him to safety.

Though some failed to impress the panel of judges composed of Louie Ocampo, Gerard Salonga, and Jaime Rivera, some pairs took the opportunity of singing in duets to further show the strength of their talents.

Bunny and Christian’s version of Ain’t No Mountain High Enough did wonders to their rather unusual tandem. Surprisingly, their show even made the infamous judge, Gerard Salonga, admit that he did enjoy watching them, to the extent that he had to disregard some flaw he noticed.

Another pair that caught the notorious juror’s attention was the undeniably great pairing of Liezel and Bugoy. He admitted that he was very much impressed of how well the two’s performance went with their own rendition of If I Ain’t Got You. Probably the smooth flow of Liezel’s voice sounded perfectly with Bugoy’s unique voice quality.

Louie Ocampo couldn’t help but be impressed of the improvements that the Scholars had for the past month. It was indeed a good show. And to make the night more special, members of the famous group Fahrenheit, Wu Chun and Calvin Chen joined the Scholars in the Performance Hall to share a surprise number.

The night was, without a doubt, full of surprises—both good and bad. Now that Bea and Miguel are under probation, they are at different ends of the rope. Who between the two will surpass this event, and who will walk out the Academy to join the outside world? Find out the answers by staying tuned to Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2.
