Long hours of crying might have exhausted all the energy left for Laarni to wake up the next morning for their diction class with Teacher Von. All were already prepared for their first class when Teacher Monet noticed that Laarni was still in bed. The in-house teacher immediately approached her to get her out of bed. When Laarni refused to get ready for class, Teacher Monet couldn’t help but grow a little concerned. He asked whether she was feeling ill or not. She said that wasn’t sick, but she also admitted that she wasn’t feeling well.
The class went on without the Independent Woman. Though Teacher Von was aware of Laarni’s absence, he still pushed through with his lessons. All the Scholars were required to recite a nursery rhyme from the list he had given. Among all the Scholars, Bugoy was the one who had the most difficult time pronouncing the words right, and with this, Teacher Von decided to allot more time on him compared to others.
After the nursery rhyme exercise, Teacher Von went on with enunciation corrections to the Scholars’ Gala Night songs. And since the said activity was vital for their upcoming Fifth Gala Performance Night, Teacher Von decided to ask one of the Scholars to check on Laarni and ask her to attend the said class. It took more than one Scholar to persuade her, but none of them succeeded.
Teacher Von’s class already ended, and Headmaster Ryan Cayabyab’s was about to start, but Laarni was still lying on her bed. Teacher Monet approached the lass once more, but this time he wasn’t accepting “no” for an answer. He was indeed mad. His request turned out to be more of a command, which persuaded Laarni to get up on her feet in an instant.
