The scholars were given feedback about their performance last Saturday in today’s session. However, Bea couldn’t seem to handle the criticisms and soon shed tears.
Though Bea had progressed since she entered the Academy, the mentors were the only ones who witnessed the change. The Sweet Chanteusse has yet to prove herself to the jurors.
Apart from this, Bea didn’t seem to care for her voice and constantly chitchatted with her classmates. This then resulted to her having a sore throat and a husky voice which didn’t help her performance at all.
Teacher Monet then reminded them that they shouldn’t be spoon fed and constantly badgered to care for their voices. Currently, everyone was on a level playing field and the slightest mistake could spell the difference on who should be the bottom four.
The scholars shouldn’t be too sensitive with the critiques since their mentors only want them to reach their fullest potential. After all, they were chosen on the basis that they were undeniably talented and they could be somebody someday.
Also, these criticisms should be taken constructively and not as a personal attack. Teacher Monet told them that as soon as they get out, they would be receiving worse criticisms from the public. It was important then to learn how to handle these and turn it to their advantage.
After the pep talk, it seemed as though the scholars’ morale were boosted and they were ready to take on the next challenge. Their Voice Mentor believed that the remaining 12 were fighters, not quitters and he knows deeply that they would make it big if they worked hard.
