Laarnie reveals the secret to her heartfelt performance

July 11, 2008 12:46 PM

In today’s diction class with Teacher Von, four Acadreamers were given top priority. Laarnie, Bugoy, Christian and Van still had to polish on their enunciation and all had to recite tongue twisters to improve their speech.

Hansen though had to practice Tagalog and was given local tongue twisters in place of English. Bugoy was determined to perfect his speech and recited every line with conviction.

Afterwards, the four had to sing their pieces already applying proper diction. While the rest were given corrections here and there, Laarnie was able to sing her piece perfectly and in performance level. Teacher Von himself was absorbed in her singing that he pushed her on.

The Diction Mentor was impressed and asked her where this emotion came from. Laarnie then told him that she was able to relate with her piece, “Kung Ako Na Lang Sana”. She revealed that she still loved her special someone but apparently couldn’t let go. The Independent Woman believed that this was the source of her emotion-filled numbers.

Will the scholars learn from this and also be able to draw from their experiences? See how the scholars prepare for their duets tomorrow on Uberture!
